  • Ceramics: Each of our monthly events is open to all CWAJ members. We are not a ‘set group’ and we always welcome newcomers!

  • French Conversation Group: February 14 - Bake a Cake. The FCG always welcomes newcomers, so please feel free to contact!

  • Friends of Music: February 6 and 23 - Singing group rehearsal

  • Hiking: February 16 -18, 2012 (tentative) - Cross-country Ski/Snowshoe Trip in Oku Nikko

  • Japanese Conversation: Please join us to study Japanese in a fun way.

  • Reading Group: February 29 -  “The Bamboo Dolls of Echizen” and “The Temple of the Wild Geese” by Tsutomu MIZUKAMI

  • The proposal by the Legal Status Task Force to obtain the General Incorporated Association (Ippan Shadan Houjin) status for CWAJ passed unanimously at the October Board Meeting. Please refer to the Legal Status Task Force Final Report, PowerPoint Presentation and the voting result.

What Are Our Special Interest Groups?

CWAJ offers a variety of activities for members where we can develop and nurture friendship.
  • We learn Japanese culture through Ceramics and visit interesting places in Trips and Tours.
  • The Japanese Conversation Group helps improve Japanese language skills and deepens the knowledge about Japan and its people.
  • The Hiking group takes you out to great places to enjoy Japan’s beautiful natural sites.
  • The French Conversation and Reading groups offer opportunities to understand other cultures. 
  • Friends of Music offers many opportunities to enjoy great music and participate in our active chorus group.
