Once again, Tokyo Opera Production is organizing a charity gala concert to raise funds for the CWAJ scholarship. Tokyo Opera Production is a professional opera group that gives performances on a regular basis. Twice a year they hold a charity gala concert to support organizations that work for a worthwhile cause. We were very fortunate to receive their goodwill 3 times in the past: in 2004, 2005 and 2007. We are honored to be offered another one this summer.

Well-known opera singers will join the group to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Tokyo Opera Production to sing pieces from famous operas. There will be wine and snacks during the intermission and the audience will have a chance to chat with the performers. It is a very informal and casual concert, a perfect summer event for family and friends.
Though there is no obligation on our part to sell a certain number of tickets, CWAJ usually promoted the event to the members and helped with the ticket sales.

The proceeds from the concert and cash donations collected that evening will be donated to CWAJ Scholarship and Education Fund.
Considering the difficult economic situation we face today, we appreciate their generous offer.
