CWAJ Donations

On March 11, an earthquake of an unprecedented scale struck the Tohoku and Kanto regions and the catastrophic disaster was far beyond anyone’s imagination. The road to recovery will be long and tough.

As an organization that has offered scholarships to support higher education for women and visually-impaired students, CWAJ is determined to support the education of the young victims. Young students’ hopes, dreams, and desire to study should not be given up because of this huge earthquake and tsunami. By supporting education, CWAJ supports the people of Tohoku in recovering from the disaster.

We hope you will join us in ensuring a bright future for the young victims, giving them renewed hope to pursue their dreams.

Details will be posted on the website.

Your support can make a difference

By supporting the CWAJ Scholarship Fund, corporate and individual donors can make a genuine and long lasting impact on the lives of individuals and communities both in Japan and beyond.

100% of all donations go to the Scholarship Fund. CWAJ fully self-funds all operating expenses and other CWAJ community outreach and member programs. Therefore, more donations translate directly into more scholarships.  CWAJ annually awards about 10 scholarships, which total about ¥18-20 million. Recent recipients have come from Japan, Poland, Bangladesh, China, Canada and the USA, in fields ranging from Biotechnology to Developmental Psychology.
