Embassy Choir Tokyo (BEC) -
www.bec.ac Formed in the late 1980s, BEC has grown into one of the premier international choirs in Tokyo. BEC’s repertoire includes a wide variety of sacred and secular music, as well as ballads, light opera, folk and popular songs. The choir is entirely self-funded and its principal goal is to raise money for local charities. Whilst it is an amateur choir, many of BEC’s choristers have a formal music background. Members hail from a wide range of countries across all continents and regions and take delight in donating their time and energy to support worthy causes through their love of singing. Under the musical direction of Steven Morgan, concerts are performed twice a year; at Christmas and during the spring/summer. Admission is free but donations for our selected charities are gratefully accepted. |
